Vision Statement
by Pastor Terry Johnson

I believe there are only two types of people in the world. Those who have a personal relationship with Jesus, and those who don't. I want everyone in the second group to be in the first group.

That is my vision for our church, what I believe we are called to perform. To help those who don't understand who Jesus is to come to the saving knowledge of Him. To also help build up those who know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him so they can bring glory to Him by the way they live their lives.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."    Ephesians 2:10

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming."    Ephesians 4:11-14

The Cross

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."     Galatians 6:14

This is the message of the church and all the ministries. The cross and the fact that we can have salvation through what Jesus has done for us. And we love Him for what He has done.

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels."     Hebrews 2:9-11
