World Vision Child
A Message From Pastor Terry
In Mark 10:14 we read of Jesus saying “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” At Calvary Chapel Westwood we have taken on the sponsorship of a child in Vietnam for the church body. Through the years we look forward to sponsoring more children.
Our youth group M.A.D. Ministries is involved as they keep the congregation informed as to what is happening in Southeast Asia, Vietnam, the child we support, and any areas that we need to pray about.
This has many benefits for those who attend Calvary Chapel Westwood. It focuses us on God and although we might live in a small community we are impacting the world for our Lord and Savior Jesus. It also opens doors for people who are drawn to the mission field. This is one of my prayers, is that our church will be instrumental in sharing the Gospel throughout the world.
This is also beneficial to the younger members of our congregation. They realize that you don’t become a member of the Body of Christ at a certain “age”. That you become a member of His Body when you accept the free gift of salvation. That everyone was “created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

PSALM 1
Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law he does meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that brings forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the Lord knowes the way of the righteous:
but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
