Luke 8:38-39 Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.”
At our evening service last night we looked at spiritual warfare and the healing of the demonic man at Gadara. It is amazing that we go to horror movies that deal with vampires, demons, and various entities in the spiritual realm that Hollywood dreams up to make movies for the public. Yet here in Luke we read of the reality of demonic possession and the severe oppression that happens to the man. The truth that the Bible speaks is that demons are real, that Satan is a liar, a thief, a murderer, a slanderer. And the simple truth is that he hates mankind. There are only two types of people in the world, those that are under demonic oppression such as the man in the Book of Luke, or those who have been set free by Jesus the very Son of God, who shed his own blood on the cross for our freedom. If you are one of the people that the Son has set free… “tell what great things God has done for you”. If you have never received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, stop what you are doing right now and ask Him into your life….Then go “tell what great things God has done for you”.
